Laurie Hamilton’s foot care clinic provides many services that will help you, our patient live a wholesome healthier life.  With your foot care needs taken care of we also provide pain management using either Shockwave or light therapy.

Who is Laurie Hamilton?

 

Laurie has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Podology, is a Certified Master Pedicurist and a Certified Podologist International. She is a member in good standing with the International Pedicure Association. She is certified in Infection Control, Advanced Skin & Nail Pathology, Comprehensive Foot & Leg Evaluation, Diabetic Foot Syndrome & Mellitus, Biomechanics & Gait Analysis Custom Fit Orthotics and Shock Wave Therapy Pain Management.

 

Laurie is a member of The Reflexology Association of Canada, International Pedicure Association, Canadian Health Care Practitioners, North American School of Podology (Alumni) and The Canadian Diabetes Association.

 

Services offered are: Professional Foot Care Services which include Diabetic Foot Care; Type I & Type II, Skin Conditions, Fungus, Reflexology, and Cold-Laser Treatments. She is an expert in the treatment of many foot problems. Orthotics are available and to fit them properly computerized a gait analysis is completed along with 3D scanning of the clients feet. She also offers Shockwave Soft Tissue Pain Management Therapy.

 

Laurie Hamilton adheres to the Alberta Health & Wellness Infection Control Standards. Safety and caring is the priority given to each client. Only STERILE instruments are used for each client.

 

Laurie’s passion for Wholistic Health stems from her philosophy of our whole person being affected by our feet. She starts her treatment by aligning the feet to subtalar neutral using trigger point therapy.

 

In addition to making her clients feel better she is always looking for ways to give back to the community. Her favorite local charities are the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Canadian Parkinson’s Association, Project Connect under the auspices of the Community Health Foundation and the Alberta Covenant Health Board.

Laurie, as of July 2015 has been appointed to the Covenant Health Community Board of Medicine Hat working specifically with St. Joseph’s Care Centre.  Her role is to serve the needs of the community and to represent the Medicine Hat Community Health at the Covenant Health Community St. Joseph’s Home.

 

She often is approached to speak as a guest at numerous functions for the associations she supports and the main topic she speaks to is educating the community on wholistic health.
